On Monday, April 15 at 4:30 p.m. in Newport City Hall, the Board of the Newport Public Library will meet and seek public comment on a proposal to remove certain children and teen's books with subject matter relating to LGBTQ+ families, stories of refugees, and age-appropriate health and sex education.  OCLBA encourages the community (i) to appear at the hearing, where each speaker will have 2 minutes to oppose the policy; and (ii) to submit an email opposing the plicate by Sunday, April 14 at 4 p.m. to [email protected].  

Join us for our annual Harvey Milk Day MCLE Luncheon on Wednesday, March 22, 2024.  This year our special guest speaker is Tony Hoang, the Executive Director of Equality California and Silver State Equality and a veteran of the LGBTQ+ equality movement.

OCLBA is considering an attorney mentorship program for LGBTQ+ law students and lawyers in the Orange County area.  Mentors would meet with their mentees at least twice during the program and OCLBA will host a networking event in October.
