2022 Dukeminier Awards Journal
Student Writing Competition

The Dukeminier Awards Journal of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity is seeking student submissions for the 2022 Dukeminier Awards Student Writing Competition. The Dukeminier Awards Journal Student Writing Competition annually recognizes the best, original student note in the field of sexual orientation and gender identity law.

 

About the Competition

The 2022 Dukeminier Awards Student Writing Competition will honor an outstanding student note focusing on sexual orientation and gender identity law. The First Place award is $1,000 and will be published in Volume 22 of the Dukeminier Awards Journal. Entries must be submitted to [email protected] by Sunday, December 18, 2022. All documents should be double-spaced and no longer than 40 pages, including footnotes.

 

Prior winning topics have involved the intersection of sexual orientation and/or gender identity with legal issues and themes including: incarceration; health care access; parenting; racial and ethnic identities; employment; youth; intersex issues; marriage; social movements; sports; juries; civil rights in the territories; international comparative law; administrative law; criminal law; constitutional law; and evidence law.
