Join us for our annual Harvey Milk Day MCLE Luncheon on Wednesday, March 22, 2024.  This year our special guest speaker is Tony Hoang, the Executive Director of Equality California and Silver State Equality and a veteran of the LGBTQ+ equality movement.

The M. Katherine Baird Darmer Equality Scholarship Fund was named in memory of the late M. Katherine Baird Darmer, an activist, law professor, and champion of change for the LGBTQIA+ community in Orange County and beyond.  The Fund, which is sponsored by the Orange County Lavender Bar Association (OCLBA) and the Orange County Equality Coalition (OCEC), will award one $5,000 scholarship each calendar year to an academically qualified law student who has demonstrated commitment to advancing equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex community in Orange County.

OCLBA will host a Pride Member Mixer on Thursday, June 13 at 5 p.m. at Tin Lizzie Saloon in Costa Mesa.  Let us know if you plan to join!

In anticipation of Pride Month and the upcoming Anniversary Party, OCLBA will be giving out new custom t-shirts to those that attend our Harvey Milk Luncheon and Pride Mixer.  We hope to see you at our events so we can share our swag!

The Orange County Lavender Bar Association will soon elect board members for the 2024-2025 term.  If you are an attorney and would like to be considered by the membership for one of OCLBA's open board positions, please send a letter of interest and your resume to [email protected] by no later than next Friday, June 7, 2024.

OCLBA is considering an attorney mentorship program for LGBTQ+ law students and lawyers in the Orange County area.  Mentors would meet with their mentees at least twice during the program and OCLBA will host a networking event in October.
